Play Time

What a fun first month we have had! We have gotten to know our new friends, learned the school rules, talked about farm animals and safari animals, and learned a few new songs. Next week we will begin our lesson about land transportation and start talking about shapes.

Safari Day (#4)

Last batch of pictures. If you are joining us in for the first time you will need to scroll down a few posts to see the start of Safari Day. Enjoy! If you want a copy of any of these pictures please let me know and I can e-mail it to you or print it off.

Safari Day (part 3)

Ellis finds a zebra!

Safari Day (continued)

This may take awhile to post all the pictures. Courtney posted earlier that Safari Day is one of her favorite days, I know it is also one of mine. The kids really have a great time using their imaginations and really get into searching for the animals with their binoculars.
The animals are all hidden and are ready for the kids to come find them!

The sneaky elephant hides under the slide.
Ready or not, here we come!

They have to be around here somewhere.
Jada in on the hunt for a giraffe.

Emily spies a rhino.

2nd Annual Twos' Safari

I have to say, the annual safari is probably my favorite thing we do all year. Its a craft the kids can make almost completely by themselves and a concept they can grasp (try to find the animals using "binoculars").  It also proves to be a great photo taking opportunity. This post will only a few of the pictures I took on my phone, but Ms. Patricia will be posting some of the ones she took on her camera later. Hope you enjoy!

Twos Teachers....

My photo
*Miss Courtney has been working at Harvest Preschool with the twos class for 4 years (1 year as an assistant, 3 years as lead teacher). She is originally from Alexander City, AL and has a sister, Andee, (and brother-in-law, David), and brother, Brady. When she's not a school, you'll most likely find her reading a book, watching a movie, listening to music, or hanging out with friends. ********************************** *This is Mrs Patricia's third year as a Twos teacher: one year as a full time substitute/assistant and this past year as the co-lead teacher. She has been married to Jud for 10 years and has a 7 year old son William who attended Harvest in the Twos class the year Harvest opened and continued in the 3s and 4s classes. She was roped in as a substitute teacher during William's time in the 4s class has hasn't been allowed to escape since. :)
