E-I-E-I-O

These first two weeks we have talked about farm animals. The kids have enjoyed "feeding" their horses, getting "messy like a pig", decorating their roosters with feathers, dotting their cows and petting the soft sheep. At the end of the week they will get to bring home their Farm Book so you can see each of the activities they have done. We have also enjoyed reading farm books, playing with farm toys and singing animal songs. Our Bible lesson has been Noah's Ark, so be sure to ask your child how many of each animal Noah took on his boat.

Thank you for a great start to the school year. The year ahead is so full of possibilities we are very excited to jump into it!

The second day...

Now, don't get used to having a blog post a day. We tend to be a little blog happy in the beginning and then become slackers toward the end of the year - but we try. Here is day two! The kids are having so much fun and we are really enjoying getting to know them.

First Day of School!

We had such a great first day! The 2s class is many kid's first experience with preschool, so we never know what to expect, especially from our new friends - but I am excited to report the tears were minimal! We didn't have any problems and were even able to finish one of our art projects. That is a successful first day if I have ever had one.

A New School Year

Miss Courtney and I have spent the past two days getting our room ready for our new friends! We have some really fun things in store for you and can't wait to get started. Meet the Teacher is Monday, August 22 from 10 to 12 (drop by any time) and the first day of school is Tuesday, August 23! School starts at 8:45, but drop off begins at 8:15. See you bright and early!

Love,
Ms. Patricia

She is originally from Alexander City, AL and has a sister, Andee, (and brother-in-law, David), and brother, Brady. She has been married to Jud for 10 years and has a 7 year old son William who attended Harvest in the Twos class the year Harvest opened and continued in the 3s and 4s classes. She was roped in as a substitute teacher during William's time in the 4s class has hasn't been allowed to escape since. :)
